One of the benefits of using a slow cooker is supposed to be easy prep work. However, I often find the recipes in cook books require several cooking steps before the ingredients go into the pot. At that point you’ve lost the time saving factor and might as well just finish cooking. Our slow cooker pork chops with mushroom and onion gravy is about as basic as you can get. Quick to put together, no pre-cooking, and nothing but flavor when it’s ready.
Prop Tip: Use a slow cooker liner to make clean up a snap and also to carefully transfer food into serving dish or storage container when finished!
