Relax in Luxury at a Disney World Spa
A week at Disney World can be exhausting. It’s harsh on your feet and leg muscles and also that Florida sunshine beats down on your skin all day. Sometimes you need a vacation from your vacation! Luckily, Disney offers an escape from the hustle and bustle of a Park touring schedule and a chance to repair your body. And for some, spending a day at one of the full service spas is part of the plan; there are even couples packages for romantic getaways.
Many of the Deluxe resorts, plus The Dolphin and Coronado Springs, offer a variety of spa services ranging from combination fitness centers and massage rooms all the way up to full service luxury day spas and salons. At the minimum, you can expect to get a Swedish massage, which I highly recommend after a few days of pounding the pavement around the Parks. It will leave you feeling relaxed and alive again. If you can, splurge and have it done in your room so you can take a refreshing nap afterwards. Feeling like Jello and wandering back to your room isn’t so much fun. If you’re planning for a full day of luxury, look into the new Senses saps located at The Grand Floridian and Saratoga Springs. There they offer everything from manicures to body wraps to 4 hour+ sessions and salon services. The Dolphin’s Mandara Spa also offers an extensive menu of services and day packages. Some spas and salons also offer packages, such as manicures, for kids.
Spa services may be limited depending on when you are visiting, so make sure to book as far as advance as possible. If you are planning on making a full day spa experience part of your Disney World vacation, research which resort spas have what you desire and think about staying at that hotel to get the most out of your relaxation and not have to worry about travel between hotels. For a full list of services offered and pricing details, visit Disney World’s spa page and browse the services for each resort. Most spas and salons can be booked by calling 407-WDW-SPAS (407-939-7727) or 407-934-4772 for The Dolphin’s Mandara spa. Take note that some of the larger spas automatically add gratuity to your bill. Below is a quick reference list of offerings.
